Sketching allows an individual to not only uniquely capture the aesthetically pleasing elements of a moment or whatever it is they are sketching but the experiences and emotions in which the moment offers them.

Although the Sydney Opera House is considered one of the monumental buildings of Sydney's architecture, while its unique exterior offers a visually pleasing appearance, it's interior has been regarded by many musicians to be small. Thus, through studying this building, architects should not only focus their efforts on the exterior but also the interior. Aesthetics should not be regarded as more important than practicality.
